Minot Fire Department Set To Receive New Thermal Imaging Cameras

minot

(Minot, ND) — The Minot Fire Department plans to purchase new thermal imaging cameras through a recent donation. Officials say the imaging cameras can help pinpoint heat signatures from hidden fires and allow authorities to find missing people during search and rescue operations. The new technology will also help fire crews view the inside of burning structures from outside the building. MFD spent nearly 28-thousand-dollars on the cameras thanks to a donation from the Hess Corporation.
