Silencer Central Suing FedEx Over Alleged Breach Of Contract

news

(Sioux Falls, SD) — A Sioux Falls-based firearms business is suing FedEx for negligent misrepresentation and breach of contract. Silencer Central sells firearm sound suppressors and other firearm accessories to customers nationwide. Founder and CEO Brandon Maddox now says it had a bulk business-to-business agreement with the shipping company to deliver its products directly to customers, despite FedEx having a company Firearms Shipping Compliance Agreement prohibiting the shipment of firearms directly to customers. Maddox’s company argues that an agreement was reached this year, and FedEx cited its compliance agreement less than 20 days later to terminate the contract with Silencer Central. The company now demands that all losses be reimbursed as a result, while a FedEx spokesperson stated that it is reviewing the allegations of the complaint.
