(Lincoln County, SD) — A Sioux Falls man is pleading guilty to charges in connection with his wife’s death. Jimmie Ledbetter entered a guilty plea to first-degree manslaughter for the death of Angie Scholl, who was found strangled to death at her Sioux Falls home in October 2024. Authorities say the 44-year-old victim had recently filed for divorce from Ledbetter. He now faces the possibility of life in prison, following his recent guilty plea. Ledbetter is now scheduled to be sentenced in January 2026.
