(Grand Forks, ND) — The University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences wants to attract more prospective students through a statewide outreach effort. Officials say the “North Dakota 85” initiative aims to have 85-percent of its enrolled medical and physician assistant students affiliated with North Dakota healthcare systems. Members of the school’s student affairs and admissions staff will travel statewide between now and the end of April to high schools, college campuses, and career fairs for a total of 30 stops. Marjorie Jenkins, the dean of the school and Vice President for Health Affairs, says that the UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences hopes to serve the state “for the benefit of its people and to enhance the quality of their lives.”
