(Fargo, ND) — A Fargo activist pleads guilty to misappropriating state grants. The charges allege Faith Shields-Dixon gave state funds to businesses owned or managed by her family. The funds were granted from the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction and were supposed to be for her Faith4Hope scholarship fund. According to the Faith4Hope website, her nonprofit was made to help low-income families. Shields-Dixon is an activist in the Fargo-Moorhead area who has fought for the rights and voices of people of color.
