(Rapid City, SD) — The state of South Dakota may not have the cheapest gas in the country, but it certainly isn’t the most expensive. A list from Triple-A lists the state as having the 19th cheapest average gas price in the country. Regular gas prices in South Dakota average out to two dollars and 83 cents, while average diesel prices sit at three dollars and 30 cents. California and Arkansas sit on opposite ends of the list, the former having the most expensive average price and the latter having the cheapest average.
