State Lawmakers To Meet on Property Tax Proposals
(Pierre, SD) — State lawmakers are expected to take up property tax today. There are at least 22 proposals on how to tackle the issue. Sioux Falls Representative Greg Jamison says that forcing governmental bodies to cut half their budget or half of their demand is a really big ask. He says implementing a sales tax to replace the funding lost from property tax revenue may not be the best option.
