(Bismarck, ND) — Disaster relief is coming to North Dakota once the government reopens. President Trump announced three-million-dollars in federal funds following numerous tornadoes and floods from this year. The president posted on Truth Social confirming he approved Governor Kelly Armstrong’s request for FEMA assistance. About 16 million dollars of additional funds were approved in September, but North Dakota can’t get them until the government reopens. In 2025, North Dakota had 80 confirmed tornadoes and significant flooding.
