(Pierre, SD) — It appears that it will be a tight race to win the Republican nomination for South Dakota governor. Based on a poll of registered GOP voters co-sponsored by South Dakota News Watch shows U.S. Representative Dusty Johnson and incumbent Larry Rhoden reflecting similar approval numbers. 28 percent would vote for Johnson while 27 percent would vote for Rhoden. The poll’s margin of error is no more than four-point-five percent.
