(Sioux Falls, SD) — Sioux Falls Police are warning the public of a potential scam. Police say a man was scammed out of 181 thousand dollars by people claiming to be with the Pakistani consulate who accused him of laundering money and being involved with drug cartels. Police also say the victim received calls from scammers claiming to be with federal and international authorities, directing him to send money to a Bitcoin account. The department has no suspects in the case.
