Governor Kelly Armstrong To Announce Food Assistance Plan

(Bismarck, ND) — Governor Kelly Armstrong is expected to announce the state’s plan to help North Dakotans using federal food assistance today. About 60-thousand residents using food stamps are affected by the freeze caused by the government shutdown. Several state officials will be in attendance at the press conference, as well as leaders with the Great Plains Food Bank. The non-profit food bank said on Tuesday that it’s preparing for the worst crisis possible in its history.
