DMS Implements New Traffic Plan

(Dickinson, ND) — City officials and Dickinson Middle School are introducing new traffic and safety measures to protect pedestrians during school hours. The plan, announced by the Dickinson Police Department in coordination with city engineers and public works, calls for “No Parking” zones along 29th Avenue West from 21st Street to the school’s parent pickup loop.

Crews will re-stripe 29th Avenue West on November 5th, to create dedicated queuing lanes for eastbound and westbound traffic on 21st Street West. Officials say the changes are designed to improve visibility for pedestrians, reduce bottlenecks and makes the school’s drop-off loop more efficient. Dickinson Middle School will also update campus signage and pavement striping.
