Minot Police Department Shares Safety Tips Ahead Of Halloween Night

(Undated) — The Minot Police Department is sharing safety tips as kids and families will be out and about in the community tonight for Halloween. The department recommends having children wear something that is reflecting as they go trick-or-treating so they are more visible at night. They also recommend dressing appropriately for the weather to ensure they stay warm and comfortable. It’s also recommended to go trick-or-treating in well-known neighborhoods or ones that you’re familiar and comfortable with. Master Officer Anthony Washington says to also never eat candy that’s been unwrapped and for parents to examine candy before children eat it. Officers will be patrolling throughout the night.
