(Sioux Falls, SD) — New data shows South Dakota is losing millions of dollars during the federal government shutdown. The Council of Economic Advisers says the state has lost about 173 million dollars in Gross State Product since the shutdown began October 1st. The CEA says South Dakota will lose about 40 million in its GSP each week the shutdown continues. The GSP measures the total value of all goods and services produced in a state over a specific period.
