(Helena, MT) — No charges are being filed in connection with the accidental gunshot death of a teenage boy in Meagher County. Sheriff Jon Lopp said yesterday the county will not be filing criminal charges for the shooting death of the 16-year-old boy last Wednesday. Police say the teen was staying at a bunkhouse in a rural area with two other teen boys when one of the other boys started handling a gun. The gun went off, hitting the victim in the face, killing him. The victim’s family requested no criminal charges be filed.
