The cattle complex moved lower again today, despite Ag Secretary Brooke Rollins saying the U.S. isn’t ready to reopen the border just yet. She’s also noted in recent interviews that President Trump remains “very focused” on that effort. Meanwhile, the USDA has confirmed that key reports, including the WASDE, will be released on November 14, even with the partial government shutdown. Uncertainty continues in the market, especially surrounding China and soybean trade developments.
