(Fargo, ND) — The Fargo Public Library is making major adjustments to its services starting in January. Library Director Tim Dirks said they really reduced their electronic resources so they could come up with their 2026 budget of a little over 240-thousand-dollars. Changes also included a reintroduction of fees for non-residents, with non-residents paying 60 dollars for a library card. However, anyone with a library card with the West Fargo and Lake Agassiz Regional library does not have to pay thanks to a reciprocal borrowing agreement. Dirks says the reductions were difficult to make but they hope to continue their goal of serving Fargo residents at the highest level. While several services will change in January, the library is still providing all the services they can offer right now.
