(Fargo, ND) — A North Dakota father is suing several agencies for an alleged 2024 drug raid that caused physical and psychological damage to his minor daughter. Cornel Christofferson filed the lawsuit on behalf of himself and his daughter against Jude Donavon Foughts, the Bureau of Indian Affairs Special Agent Stell Fallon, and four county sheriff’s departments. Christofferson’s legal action stems from an operation in August of last year at his home, when multiple agencies raided his property on the Spirit Indian Reservation. According to court documents, the raid resulted in insect bites on his daughter, hospitalization for pneumonia, and ongoing trauma. He’s seeking compensatory and punitive damages, and injunctive relief. No trial date has been set.
