(McHenry County, ND) — McHenry County Commissioners are reissuing a burn ban through November 15th. They’re asking the public to avoid burning for now, due to continued dry conditions. The emergency manager said there’s potential for dry conditions and high winds. Restrictions include the burning of garbage, pit, debris, and farmland when the index is high, very high, extreme, or red flag. The use of grill or commercially-sold enclosed firepits won’t be restricted. Anyone who violates the ban could face up to 30 days in jail and up to 15-hundred-dollars in fines.
