(Stanley, ND) — State prosecutors are expected to file more charges against one of the foster parents charged in the death of a child in their care. Co-defendants Jamie and Raymond Johnson were in court for separate hearings on Thursday. They both face charges for murder, child abuse, and reckless endangerment in the death of a three-year-old girl, however, prosecutors are expected to add more charges for Jamie. Jamie was in court yesterday for a preliminary hearing and arraignment, but those have been rescheduled for December 11th due to additional charges that have yet to be filed. According to court records, investigators say security footage inside their home showed the two assaulting the toddler. The murder charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole if convicted.
