(Bismarck, ND) — Some North Dakota residents will receive partial SNAP benefits today. In accordance to a federal directive, HHS will recalculate the SNAP benefits for all of the approximately 28-thousand households in North Dakota that receive benefits. Based on the SNAP formula calculation, many households will receive either a decrease in their monthly benefit or no benefits at all. HHS said North Dakota is aware of additional court orders enforcing 100 percent funding and is prepared to comply pending the outcome of court proceedings.
