(Fargo, ND) — Capital Credit Union is working with the Emergency Food Pantry to provide extra support. The credit union has donated 15 thousand dollars, along with non-perishable food items from both branch locations. The donation comes as the pantry has seen an increased need for food for families. Daily clients have doubled to 150 in the first week of November. Kristi Halvarson, Board Chair at Emergency Food Pantry, said the increase in demand isn’t due to the pause in SNAP benefits, but rather the season, adding “it’s a year-round need.” The pantry will use the money to fill in gaps in food that they need.
