(Rapid City, SD) — A Pennington County jury says a man convicted in a drowning death was legally sane when he committed the crime. Last week the same jury found Walter Mousseau Jr. guilty of second-degree murder. Mousseau drowned Sheldon Glenn on July 4th, 2022 in Rapid City’s Memorial Park. Jurors also found Mousseau guilty but mentally ill, which holds him accountable for his crime, but ensures he’ll get psychiatric treatment. He faces a life prison term when sentencing is held on December 22nd.
