North Dakota Joining Coalition Challenging $85B Union Pacific Merger

(Fargo, ND) — North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley is joining a coalition challenging the 85-billion-dollar Union Pacific Union merger. The coalition of nine attorneys general released a joint statement on Monday, claiming the merger of Union-Pacific and Norfolk Southern could compromise national security. They say the merger would remove competition, create higher prices, and stifle innovation at the expense of American manufacturers and consumers. Shareholders of the two railroads approved the merger on Monday.
