(Rapid City, SD) — A Rapid City zoo is back in business after a fire Friday. A blaze broke out at Reptile Gardens. Crews were able to put down the fire at the off exhibit animal holding building behind the giant tortoise yard before it reached the public areas, but a few tortoises and alligators died. The zoo was closed for the day but reopened Saturday. The sky dome and the show building are currently the only areas open to the public.
