MINOT, N.D. — Investigators say eyewitness accounts and security footage helped identify the suspect in a deadly stabbing earlier this month in northeast Minot.

Thirty-year-old Chozey Morsette is charged with AA-felony murder in the death of 27-year-old Anthony Redmond. According to a newly released criminal affidavit, Redmond was found lying along a curb with multiple stab wounds on the morning of November 7.

A witness told police a group of four people arrived at the home that morning and identified Morsette as the attacker. Investigators say surveillance video showed the group coming and going from the residence. Another member of the group told officers Morsette stabbed Redmond as they were leaving, and later asked them to burn the vehicle they had used.

Police arrested Morsette in Bismarck on Saturday. He’s being held on a $2 million bond and is due back in court February 4 for a preliminary hearing and arraignment.
