(Bismarck, ND) — Justice Daniel Crothers is retiring from the North Dakota Supreme Court. He announced on Wednesday that he will step down on February 28th. Crothers served the court for 20 years and is currently the longest-serving judge on the state’s Supreme Court. In one of his most recent and important cases, Crothers penned an opinion that declared a 2023 abortion ban “unconstitutionally vague.” He said all cases that the Supreme Court reviews are important to the people involved, whether they are big and small.
