(Morton County, ND) — Morton County is approving the wind farm proposition. On Tuesday, the county commission voted unanimously to build the new project following months of debate. The Duluth-based company, Allete, announced its proposal in August. The 45-turbine, 200-megawatt wind farm will be built in the Glen Ullin area on about 41-square-miles of land. Developers still need state approval by the North Dakota Public Service Commission before construction can begin.
