(Sioux Falls, SD) — The first major snowstorm of the season hits Sioux Falls over Thanksgiving weekend. Between five and seven inches of snow fell over the holiday weekend. It’s the most Sioux Falls had seen in a 24-hour period since January of 2024. Workers with snowplows spent the last day of the holiday weekend clearing snow from roadways and parking lots. Some parts of South Dakota saw over eight inches.
