(Mandan, ND) — The Mandan City Commission is approving Northern Improvement to lead the reconstruction of the western part of Memorial Highway. Two companies responded to an open bid for the project and Northern Improvement posted a bid that was closer to the city’s engineer’s estimate of what the project would cost. The Memorial Highway Reconstruction Project began in April with the east half. Upgrades include bicycle facilities, the installation of a storm water system, replacement of underground utilities, and more. While the east half is set to be complete in 2026, work on the west half is expected to end in 2027.
