Lisa Fair McEvers Elected First Female Chief Justice Of North Dakota Supreme Court

(Bismarck, ND) — Justice Lisa Fair McEvers making history. She’ll be the first woman to serve as chief justice of the North Dakota Supreme Court. Current Chief Justice Jon Jenses announced last month that he would not seek re-election to the post but will remain on the court. Fair McEvers earned a law degree from the University of North Dakota in 1997. She previously served as Cass county State’s Attorney and as a district judge. She’ll assume the role of chief Justice on January 1st.
