(Bismarck, ND) — The North Dakota Farmers Union is going with Matt Perdue to serve as the next president. The union elected Perdue in a vote on Saturday. At 35 years old, Perdue is the youngest person to serve as the union president. He defeated Shelly Ziesch after former President Mark Watne decided not to run for reelection. Perdue used to serve as Government Relations Director for the NDFU.
