Harrisburg Man Arrested for Making Terroristic Threat

(Harrisburg, SD) — A man is facing charges after he allegedly called in a fake report of a man holding people at gunpoint in Harrisburg. South Dakota Highway Patrol responded to an ACE Hardware parking lot around noon yesterday after a caller told authorities he was holding people hostage. About a half-hour later, law enforcement officers went to a different address and arrested James Montgomery without incident. He’s been booked into the Minnehaha County Jail on making a terroristic threat. Area schools had gone into shelter-in-place while this was all going on.
