(Fargo, ND) — Southern Valley Fire and Rescue is demanding Fargo returns annexed land and pay for damages. The rural fire department says the city owes them seven-million dollars, including more than six million in lost tax revenue. A civil suit was filed last week in Cass County. The disputed land includes more than five-thousand parcels near 52nd Avenue. Southern Valley says it’s been responding to calls in the area since 1982.
