(Beresford, SD) — State investigators say an officer acted appropriately in a fatal shooting last month in Beresford. Attorney General Marty Jackley said Tuesday that Christopher Pearson of Brookings refused commands and pointed a loaded gun at the officer during a traffic stop at the Truck Towne Travel Plaza. Lab results show Pearson had a blood alcohol content of point-two-one at the time of the shooting.
