Twelve People Apply to Open Supreme Court Justice Position

(Bismarck, ND) — Twelve attorneys have applied to fill the Supreme Court Justice position opening in February. The replacement will fill the seat vacated by Justice Daniel Crothers after he announced his retirement. A committee will whittle the list down to two-to-seven names for Governor Kelly Armstrong who can pick from the group, ask for more nominees or refer the choices to public vote. Nominating committee members are expected to start interviewing candidates in mid January.
