Thousands Without Power After Windstorm In Western Montana

(Missoula, MT) — Western Montana is dealing with the aftermath of severe wind storms that downed trees and left tens of thousands of people without power. NorthWestern Energy says more than 35-thousand customers were without electricity yesterday evening. Several thousand remain without power as of early this morning. The utility says crews are working to restore service as quickly and safely as possible. Meanwhile, officials are urging residents to stay away from downed power lines.
