USW works in six countries across South America, which creates a massive geographical region with a growing population that roughly equals the population of the United States.
Miguel Galdos, who leads USW staff from the USW Santiago Office, sees it as an opportunity.
“We have been doing important work to demonstrate the value of each of the different classes of U.S. wheat,” said Galdos, USW regional director for South America. “And we have had some important successes the past two years resulting from our work.”
