(Brookings, SD) — There will not be a 25-dollar fee for a public library card in Brookings County after all. The news comes after the Brookings County Commission voted to restore the library’s funding to 25-thousand dollars. Earlier this year, the commission reduced funding to ten-thousand dollars and planned to charge 25 bucks for the library card starting January 1st. Residents outside of city limits would’ve had to pay the fee.
