(Bismarck, ND) — Senator Kevin Cramer says he could support short term extensions to the Affordable Care Act. A looming deadline to fund the federal government will greet lawmakers when they return to Washington after the Christmas holiday. If no deal is reached, it could cause health insurance premiums to rise substantially on January 30th. Cramer says its important to keep the subsidies in place while the nation works to transition to a market-based system. The Senate reconvenes on January 5th.
