Over $189M Federal Funding For Rural Healthcare

(Sioux Falls, SD) — Governor Rhoden says over 189-million dollars in federal funding is approved to support rural healthcare systems in 2026. It’s part of a five-year Rural Health Transformation program. Rhoden says the money will be used to modernize systems, pay support staff and help reduce barriers to access to healthcare. More details will be revealed in the State of the State Address in a few weeks.
