JAMESTOWN, N.D. — Jamestown Police have arrested an elementary school teacher on a charge of corruption of a minor.
Police say 45-year-old Michael Paul Romans, a teacher at Gussner Elementary School and a volunteer firefighter, is accused of sexually abusing a Jamestown Public School student over the course of one to two years.
Romans was arrested Monday and has been placed on administrative leave from both Jamestown Public Schools and the City of Jamestown.
The investigation is ongoing.
