(Bismarck, ND) — U.S.Senators and Representatives From North Dakota are sharing statements after President Trump announced the federal drug fugitive Nicolas Maduro was captured. Senator Kevin Cramer showed his support for the president’s actions, saying Maduro “has been taken into custody and will face justice in the U.S.” adding “When America leads, the world is safer.” Senator John Hoven added his support stating “we appreciate the brave servicemembers and law enforcement officials who undertook this extremely complex and difficult mission to make the United States safer and more secure.” Representative Julie Fedorchak responded by saying the world needs strong and decisive leadership right now and “President Trump and his administration is providing that.” Maduro is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn and faces charges related to drug trafficking and working with gangs.
