Bismarck Airport Evacuated

BISMARCK, N.D. — Bismarck Airport has reopened after a bomb threat prompted an evacuation Monday afternoon.

Police say they received a phone call around 4:30 claiming explosive devices were inside the airport. Airport staff immediately evacuated the terminal, and the Bismarck Police Department’s bomb squad conducted a full sweep of the building.

No explosive devices were found.

The airport reopened and resumed normal operations just before 7 Monday evening.

During the incident, traffic around the airport was blocked off, paramedics were staged nearby, and travelers were seen walking along University Drive with their luggage.

Police say the incident remains under investigation.
