(Pierre, SD) — State Attorney General Marty Jackley will push for stronger cryptocurrency investigations. He says he’ll introduce new legislation this year that would allow law enforcement to seize digital crypto accounts as part of criminal probes. Statistics from the FBI show South Dakota reported close to 14-million dollars in crypto-related losses in 2024 alone. More than half of those losses involved victims 60 or older. South Dakota’s legislative session begins next Tuesday.
