Thune Optimistic Resolution Requiring Trump To Seek Approval Will Fail

(Washington DC) — South Dakota’s John Thune says he is optimistic that a resolution requiring President Trump to seek Congressional approval before taking any additional military action in Venezuela will fail in the Senate tomorrow. The president has said he is prepared to launch a second wave of military action in the country if needed. This all follows this past weekend’s US capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro in Caracas.
