(Bismarck, ND) — Gateway Mall in Bismarck is asking mall walkers to leave if they’re not shopping. Mall management asked store owners to help enforce the mandate although some owners say they help business. A large portion of the foot traffic at the Gateway Mall is walkers who go there to exercise. Management says these walkers make the mall dirtier and take advantage of the facilities. Owners say banning the walkers limits foot traffic and the community spirit the walkers bring to the plaza.
