(Mandan, ND) — A Mandan woman is facing charges for collecting nearly 100-thousand dollars in fraudulent insurance payments. Investigators say Tammy Urness submitted over a dozen claims for services at medical centers throughout the state without ever receiving care. Urness filed the claims between June 2023 and February 2025 and used her husband’s name and accounts in some instances. Urness was in court Monday and could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted. She is due in court again on March 9th.
