(Pierre, SD) — A New York-based non-profit is suing South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley over an abortion pill education campaign. Mayday Health says the AG threatened prosecution if it continued sharing information with South Dakota residents. The group argues it’s providing legal, truthful health information protected by the First Amendment. Mayday claims the state is trying to shut down its website despite no laws being violated. The lawsuit is asking the court to allow the group to continue its work nationwide.
