(Walsh County, ND) — A report from Walsh County shows 70-percent of businesses failed an alcohol compliance check. The report was completed by the Walsh County Sheriff’s Office and Health Department to see if stores were selling alcohol to underage people. Ten businesses were tested and some of the businesses failed the checks more than once. A city ordinance in Grafton says only individual employees can be penalized for failing the compliance check. Lawmakers are proposing changes to penalize businesses at the next City Council meeting in February.
